This course is required to obtain a Firearms Possession and Acquisition License. You will be
introduced to firearms, basic firearms safety, ammunition, how to operate a firearm, along with
safe handling and carrying techniques. You will also learn the social responsibilities of firearms
storage, transportation and handling. The minimum age for the course is 12 years. As soon
as the course is completed, the exams will take place. The exams consist of one written and a
one-on-one practical. This course is a requirement if you plan on taking the Restricted Firearms
class. Students, please bring a peanut-free bag lunch. Seating is limited. Textbook included -
to be picked up at WFES office before the course date.
