Sykamore is a recording artist and songwriter from Carseland, Alberta. Her career launched in 2013 with the independent release of her first record, “Petal” which was featured on the hit Canadian TV show “Heartland.” In 2017 she signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell and Rhett Akins, veteran Nashville songwriter. Her latest body of work, “Self Medicine,” is a collection of vibrant, honest and meticulously written stories about love and pain in a twenty some- thing world, dripping with raw emotion and just a hint of keen, tongue-in-cheek observation to accompany the classic, yet fashion forward sound. It’s abundantly clear, Sykamore is an artist tethered to her truth, and “Self Medicine” is the window into which we see her journey, feel her feelings, and witness the spectacle of a young songwriter with the makings of something truly undeniable.
